EasyAzon has an automatic link localizer that displays the appropriate affiliate link based on the location of your visitor, which can mean a lot of extra commissions for you. You can also create product popups that will help to get more attention from visitors. The plugin will also allow you to set links to automatically add the product to the visitor’s cart, which will give you an extra 89 days to get a commission if the visitor buys that product.
Hey Arthur, glad you like the site! I don’t think bloggers would be against giving free stuff instead of asking money for it. Squeeze pages work fine. But I’d still recommend you build your own site and own platform, its just better in the long run. The way you do it is you create a free post (like this one) with free downloads inside then drive traffic to it. Everyone is happy to link to free info then you can retarget people without too much trouble.
The term affiliate marketing as it applies to Youtube is the creation of video content that contains affiliate links in the video or the description of the video. An affiliate link is a link that leads directly to a product or website, that allows the viewer who clicked it to buy the product or sign up to a subscription ect. For every person that makes a purchase through your affiliate link, you can earn "commission" or a certain percentage of the profit off each sale. It might sound tricky at first, but really the affiliate link are the easiest part, it's getting people to click on them that's hard. Really the only way is to try and drive as much traffic to your videos as possible by creating quality content and promoting yourself right. Creating content that is designed for your affiliate links rather than jamming them down your audience's throats will likely get you a lot more clicks than the other way around.
Not only does TeslaThemes offer a substantial 50% commission for every sale, but you also earn 15% commission from any sales generated by affiliates you recruit to the program yourself. This second tier makes it one of the best WordPress affiliate programs in terms of generating passive income. Top-end themes are at a slightly lower price point than its competitors, but at 50% you still stand to make $99.50 per commission on top-end sales.
Affiliate Royale is a simple, user-friendly choice for an affiliate management plugin that gives entrepreneurs, marketing departments, or product creators total control. It’s a complete solution for WordPress and provides plenty of specific details about your marketing efforts including total clicks referred per affiliate, total sales and marketing activity. Offline sales tracking capabilities set this plugin apart from the others on the list.
Finally, the promoting your link method. This method makes it a little tougher to build a community of readers than the others because you’re never truly interacting with them. You will simply display your affiliate link online and let customers use the link to make purchases. You don’t have to have a website; you can use banners and links to advertise on other sites, search engines, and social media to promote your link, which will bring in sales from people who were interested enough to click the link. Personally, I would recommend either of the other two options if you want to build loyalty with your audience, but if you’re looking for something short-term, this method is easy and perfect for you.
Hi! I love this post and I will be patient, but Amazon canceled my affiliate account too in a new blog. I didn’t even have enough affiliate links or too much traffic. We have to be patient and keep it as a hobby and maybe we will be lucky. I think if we want to instantly replace our daily jobs with blogging… will be a failure… So people do that very easy ! I really do not know how.
As you probably guessed, the scale of strategies behind promoting Clickbank products is much larger than the ClickBank itself. One thing you must understand is the fact that you need to choose your strategy based on the product, not what you know. Every product has a different audience and every audience requires a different approach, that’s why if you want to become a super affiliate on Clickbank, you need to learn these different strategies and choose the right one based on what you promote.
The basic strategy is this: Post interesting content consistently with relevant hashtags. Use a service like Hashtagify for hashtag ideas. Follow users in your niche and engage with their posts. I also know a couple of people who grew their Instagram accounts quickly solely depending on shoutouts from influencers. You can use a service like ShoutCart for that or contact influencers directly (most of them list their email addresses in their bios).
From what I can tell it appears to be an effective money maker when you put the time and effort behind it. Knowing how to do this with the right websites and how to work through the SEO process in order to make the right gains is what really impressed me. This video series is not about getting you into the money making mentality, it is more about showing you and walking you through the process of how to do the actual work to be successful at Affiliate Marketing. To quote Yoda from Star Wars "Do or do not, there is no try". That's the only mentality you need when you go into this to be successful.
Take advantage of affiliate program freebies when available. Many affiliate programs provide free printables, guides, webinars or other lead magnets designed to get potential customers in their sales funnel. As an affiliate, you can share these freebies with your audience using your affiliate link so if they eventually make a purchase, you’ll earn a commission, but if they don’t they still get value upfront.
Know when (and when not) to use Viglinks and Skimlinks. If you applied to an affiliate program but were denied, you might be able to still be an affiliate for that advertiser through a secondary affiliate program like VigLink or Skimlinks. Basically, they themselves are affiliates and will split their affiliate commission with you if you put their affiliate link in your content for an advertiser. Obviously, the commission rate is lower for you in this case, so if you ever are accepted into the advertiser’s affiliate program directly, immediately switch from using VigLink / Skimlinks affiliate links to your own.
I have posts that are heavily linked to Amazon and some that aren’t to keep things balanced out. My heavily linked posts are product guides or stuff I was searching for my kids. Some examples are: Non-toxic high chair, 20 non-toxic teething toys, and Gift for 2-3 year olds. My blog is “green” so a lot of my posts are about non-toxic products since this is what I personally look for.
SiteGround – life changer for me… I made $80k in 2017 and $120k in 2018 just through SiteGround. I highly contribute this to showing people 10 different Facebook polls where SiteGround was ranked #1 (screenshots below). It’s $50 – $150 per sale depending on the tier you reach each month, $150 per sale if you start making 31+ sales/month (you should contact their affiliate manager and be selling some higher priced plans other than their StartUp plan). $160/sale if you hit around 81+ sales/month. Read my SiteGround review to get marketing materials. 11 sales/month will make you $13k/year. 21 sales/month and some of you can quit your job making 31.5k/year. Excellent speed, support, security, and they’ll migrate you for free.
This amazing bonus will show you how to maximize your reach, your impact, and your revenue with Facebook Ads by Monica Louie. This is a great bonus for ALL bloggers. I've personally been coached by Monica and she is very knowledgeable, especially when it comes to helping businesses succeed on Facebook. She has worked on more than 100 Facebook ad campaigns, including several traffic campaigns with cost per click as low as $0.02 and conversion campaigns with cost per result as low as $0.35. Her online journey began in 2015 when she shared how her family paid off $120,000 of debt in two years on a single, middle-class income. She is amazing and I'm so glad she shared her expertise with us.
If you don't know, Shopify is an e-commerce platform that allows users to set up their own e-commerce site and become an entrepreneurs quickly and easily. By spreading the word about Shopify and encouraging your audience to sign up to it (using the link you provide) you can earn an average of $58 dollars for every user that signs up using your link. Shopify provides you with 24/7 support and links to blogs, video tutorials and so on that will help to explain to your audience what Shopify is and how it works.
I was actually with Bluehost at one point and Godaddy. I didn’t know much about hosting when I started and did the same thing (I think everybody does) where they either do a Google search and follow an affiliate’s recommendations whose in it for the money or they ask their developer. But I am glad you’re giving SiteGround a shot and like I mentioned in the previous comment – let me know how it works for you. Yes their support is amazing I am always impressed by it.
Smart tips, Elna! That’s exactly what I did with BoardBooster – I created a post that showed people (with screen shots etc) exactly how I was using it to increase my Pinterest engagement. In my opinion, that’s one of the best ways to create affiliate sales – not only are you providing something that’s truly helpful to your readers, you’re showing them exactly how it works.
Tailor the content to your audience: think about how you can best relate the products you’re promoting to the topic of your blog and the interests of the people who read it. For example, if a food blog wanted to promote WordPress themes, you could write “How to Start a Food Blog” and include theme details – rather than just publishing “10 Best WordPress Themes for 2018”.
WordPress is fairly optimized right out of the box, but there are also a handful of plugins like the All in One SEO Pack and Yoast’s WordPress SEO plugin that do a great job of making your WordPress site search engine friendly. Beginners can install these plugins with their default settings and start reaping the benefits immediately and more advanced users can tweak them as required.
Be sure to create a unique online presence for your brand. Your site will rank better for the niche keywords you are using once more people begin to Google your brand name, and they give you a leg up over competitors who used exact-match keywords in their website name, like “best-travel-supplements.com” (which Google doesn’t treat as kindly as it does branded URLs).
Referral fees aren’t just for the products you recommend. Perhaps the coolest thing about the Amazon Associates program is that you receive credit for any sale associated with your affiliate link for 24 hours. So, if a customer visits the page of the product you recommended, but then goes on to purchase five more eligible items during that same visit, you will receive a portion of that entire sale.
WP AdCenter is a robust plugin for managing banner ads on your site. It can be used for managing your affiliate banners or for selling ad spots. You have full control over the ad zones that you set up, and it provides all the statistics you need for tracking. WP AdCenter is included in membership to WPEka, which costs $27 per month, $47 per quarter, or $97 per year. The club currently offers a total of 21 WordPress themes and 15 plugins.
He makes a lot of money. He generally makes around 100,000 dollars (approx. 70 lakhs in Indian rupees) every single month. He does this without selling hard. He never spam your email inbox with lots of sales pitches. You can learn a lot how he sells by spending some time on analysing his blog, design, content etc. The blog is a goldmine for all the affiliate marketer beginners who want to make passive income online.
Cloudways – usually the second highest rated host in Facebook polls offering higher commissions than SiteGround (once you climb to higher tiers). Doesn’t have CPU limits, a common complaint with SiteGround. Reports from the WordPress Speed Up Facebook Group have been that their hosting is super faster. Only reason I don’t promote them is because I’ve been doing so well with SiteGround, they’re not #1 in every Facebook poll like SiteGround, and Cloudways is a little expensive for the average user (although SiteGround’s promotional price expires after 1-3 years and then THEY get more expensive). There are pros and cons for each.
If you worry that your readers won’t like the fact that you’re making money, I encourage you to shift your paradigm on this a bit. If someone provided valuable information to you, wouldn’t it be nice to reward them a bit? Maybe they taught you something. Maybe they saved you time for not having to search for the information themselves. Maybe they showed you some great uses for a product you were considering buying anyway. Whatever the case, if you’re providing affiliate links in an ethical way, no one should fault you for it.
One of the best ways to tap into your customers is to automatically send an email to become an affiliate as soon as they buy from you. When customers purchase something from your store, the affiliate software marketing platform sends an email describing the referral program and invites them to join with a simple click. Your customers can immediately refer the product they just bought and earn money.
This is an example that I did with the tattoo market. I got my tattoo site, and then I said, “Put your email to search for tattoos”. Then on the thank you page, I run an offer for the gift card/tattoo offer, and then I took them over to the Clickbank offer. Now, the Clickbank offer has made about 10% of the income. So when I got like $200 a day, I was getting about 2 to 3 sales of the Clickbank tattoo book and the rest of the income was from the CPA offers. If you want to be a real affiliate and actually want to make the stuff work in a cool way, I’ll suggest
I have been making money online for over a year now. Not in the big time yet, still consider myself to be learning my craft. I was doing it really ineffectively (using adsense and amazon along with a t shirt affiliate deal) and driving traffic almost exclusively though facebook. Probably averaged about $800 a month over the last year, mostly because Christmas brought an absolute ton of t shirt sales)
ClickBank is one of the most recognizable affiliate platforms in the world and for good reason. It started in a San Diego garage in 1998 and has since grown into a 3 billion dollar+ ecommerce giant. ClickBank has perfected the digital marketing space by creating a vast marketplace for both product creators and affiliates (sellers of those products) to make income together without burdensome paperwork or complex legal agreements. In fact, from just the front page of the marketplace, ClickBank’s clients will earn close to one hundred million dollars this year in 2018.
@ Melissa. Regarding being dropped by Pepperjam in the state of IL…yes I was dropped by all of the merchants that I was using. I still have a Pepperjam account but took down all my links because I received notification from each merchant saying I was dropped. Maybe there are some merchants within the network that allow it??? I don’t have time to figure out which ones out of thousands will accept my link.
You can start figuring out your target audience by focusing on reading the reviews in your niche. You can also spend some time on forums and read the comment section on blogs that cover your niche topics. If you notice some unanswered questions emerging over and over again, write them down. Your audience needs them answered, and you can do it for them. Or you can do an online search for best niche blogs and see how they are structured.

Thanks for all the information I am slowly working my way through your list of do’s and donts! ! I’ve been approached by a website that wants to develop editorial content for my blog featuring home improvement tips from their”national client” and pay me $40 a year for reviewing and publishing their content. Boy, I am just not sure how this all works? Any words for when we are approached by others to write for our blogs?
If you have limited budget, don't be afraid to use trial versions of software. I used Adobe Premier to make my YouTube intro (the trial is 30 days, it took me less than 5). There's also plenty of free software you can use too. Do you research and hustle as much as possible. When you start earning money, feel free to reinvest it into your venture and buy something with a little more quality.
